COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN – Effective March 2020

  • We implemented a work from home policy with minimal staff at the office.
  • The BC government has now begun to implement phase 3, in an effort to restore normal life in our communities and workplaces. The official guidance is still to work from home where possible and only essential visitors will be allowed in the offices at this time.
  • The Company is committed to observing the orders, notices, or guidance issued by the Provincial Health Officer and understands the necessity for social distancing. The Company will make every effort to support those employees whose preference it is to work from home and that preference will be respected. Videoconferencing has supported and continues to support, meetings while working from home. Employees who have indicated a preference or desire to work at the office will be supported in doing so provided that they adhere to the British Columbia Covid precautionary rules. As of November 19, 2020 and until further notice, the Province of British Columbia has mandated that masks be worn in all common areas of the workplace and prohibits social gatherings in the workplace. A common area would include customer counters, kitchens, hallways, bathrooms, breakrooms, boardrooms and elevators.
  • We currently have a 75% occupancy limit in the office with no limit on the number of days per week.
  • Our office/common space will have signage and stickers pertaining to COVID-19 and observation of social-distancing. We have reviewed our floorplan and continue to address physical distancing requirements with respect to workstations.
  • Showing professional courtesy and maintaining physical distancing will help to ensure a safe work environment for all. In some instances, a friendly reminder to somebody who is not respecting the rules may be the best approach. We all have habits developed over many years and it is easy to slip up. We want to protect ourselves, our colleagues and their families.
  • In accordance with the latest Order of the Provincial Health Officer, each employee working in the office, will be asked to complete a COVID Daily Check questionnaire prior to entry. If you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 including coughing, sneezing, fever, sore throat or difficulty breathing, lack of sense of smell or taste – notify your manager and do not come to the office.
  • If you travel, you must adhere to the direction of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and our travel protocol.
  • Please direct any questions to Bruce Bragagnolo.
  • Thanks for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time.

Keep up to date
